Join the 1. FC Köln groups in the United States for our fourth annual Effzeh USA meetup!
We previously hosted events in Cincinnati (2018), Chicago (2019), and Madison (2021). Now we're coming to Omaha, Nebraska!
The final itinerary is still a work in progress, but a basic itinerary is listed below. We've got three options to RSVP, so choose the one that works best for you:
RSVP Only - FREE: if you just want to join us for some of the events, you can't commit to the match, or you'll meet us at the stadium with your own tickets, this is the option to let us know you're interested in joining us for part of the weekend. We'll keep you updated before and during the event, and it gives us a better idea of how to plan each event.
Baumgart Package - $20: This package counts as your RSVP, and also includes a meal at Bärchen Saturday before the match with the group and a shuttle from Bärchen to the stadium! This package does not include a ticket to the match, so if you want to join us for everything, but already have a ticket to the game, this is the option for you!
Hennes IX Package - $30: This package is the GOAT. It includes everything in the Baumgart Package plus your ticket to the Union Omaha match!
Ticket packages are no longer available. RSVP for free if you want to join us for any of the event and want updates on our weekend! But you will need to organize your own tickets and transportation to the game if you haven't already purchased your ticket package.
Friday, August 12
- Arrive in Omaha as your schedule allows. We will have an official welcoming event from 5-8pm at an Effzeh Omaha member's house! We'll send out the address to you after you RSVP, but it will be in North Omaha's Benson neighborhood. After that event some of us will be going out to some bars in the area. We'll email the rough plan for the night, but keep an eye on @fckoelnUSA on twitter for up-to-the-minute changes.
Saturday, August 13
- 8:30am - Kickoff for the Köln / Leipzig match - Farnam House Brewing Company (doors and bar opens at 815am, kitchen opens at halftime)
- 10:30am - Free time to explore Omaha. We'll provide some recommendations for things to check out!
- 2:00pm - Bar crawl through North Omaha's Benson neighborhood (starting location TBD).
- 5:00pm - Bar crawl ends at Bärchen! Burgers/Sandwiches included with paid packages.
- 6:00pm - Bus departs from Bärchen (included with paid packages)
- 7:00pm - Watch Union Omaha host Northern Colorado Hailstorm
- 10:00pm - Late night food and bar - Location TBD (in the Benson neighborhood)
Sunday, August 14
- 10:30am - Brunch at Location TBD
